A 1913 Farmhouse Update

Our homeowners' vision for this charming 1913 farmhouse style home included taking a pantry, entry and kitchen space and creating a warm and inviting as well as functional space with storage galore, a half bath and built-in lockers. Also part of the update was creating a family room, 3/4 bath and laundry in their unfinished basement.

The key was to not depart from the period of the home, but yet bring in some modern touches with stained birch cabinets, quartz countertops, new appliances, recessed lighting, placing a farmhouse style sink at the kitchen window all while maximizing space for storage. The family now has two additional bathrooms, an entry with built-in lockers, a laundry center and family room.
