A Transformed 90's Kitchen

This galley style kitchen was more than ready to be taken from the 90's to today with quite a transformation in style, form and function.

The goal was to maximize every space with thoughtful design and bring an updated contemporary look to coincide with the rest of the home.

Reach-in lower cabinets were converted to drawers and/or pullouts for easy access. This also gave the homeowners more organizational ability.

A double gas range with overhead microwave was converted into a commercial grade gas cook-top with an actual vent hood to help rid the space of smell and smoke as well as provide adequate lighting.

Cabinets were taken as high as possible to make sure all available space was used.

The style of the cabinet fronts is skinny shaker bringing warmth and contrast with stained maple lowers and painted uppers and pantries. The color of the painted cabinets is two shades darker than the walls to give an expansive feel to the space while providing a seamless transition to the dining room.

A sleek chevron backsplash appoints the space and brings both texture, a little sheen and interest.

The double wall oven with microwave eliminates having to bend over to lift heavy hot items from the oven and the adjacent eight drawer cabinet provides plenty of storage and organization.

This renovation has inspired our homeowners to spend more time in the kitchen.
